What a dreamy project - ice cream packaging! We worked with Eclipse Foods to shoot the imagery for their new packaging. A truly specialized project - perfecting ice cream scoops exactly to the client’s precise desires was an incredibly detailed process. No food styling tricks here - all the scoops are purely Eclipse’s product. We composited the best pieces of various scoops to get the hero assets you see here: some texture in the scoop, a slight melt throughout, an accurate representation of mix-ins, and a creamy “collar” (the ring on the bottom of the scoop). Our food stylist’s fine dining pastry chef background was crucial in understanding how best to handle the product and in knowing how to manipulate it for the perfect outcome.
